I've been on a blogging hiatus for the past few weeks as I contemplate next steps on the journey. I have also been working on perfecting a beautiful spicy garlic shrimp & lemon pasta recipe that's nearly ready to be shared.
I'm very interested in hearing from people who want to share their memories of the women in their lives and being loved by them through food and cooking together. I recently received an email from a woman from South Africa who said she could completely relate to the feelings I've described about my connection with my mother, grandmothers and aunts...I suspect this is a fairly universal experience, even if the bond wasn't with a mother but a neighbour or some other female caregiver.
